Become a DDYP Trustee and Empower Derwentside's Youth

The Derwentside Detached Youth Project (DDYP) has been a vital part of our community for over 40 years, working tirelessly to support young people in Derwentside. Now, we're looking for passionate individuals to join our Trustee Board and help guide our future.

What is a DDYP Trustee?

A trustee is a volunteer who helps govern and guide the charity. It's a chance to use your professional skills and life experience to make a huge impact behind the scenes. You don't need to have been a trustee before; we're looking for people from all walks of life who are committed to the welfare of our young people. The role is all about providing strategic direction, ensuring we're well-managed, and helping us achieve our mission.

Why It's a Rewarding Role

Being a DDYP trustee is incredibly rewarding. You'll be part of a team that helps break down barriers and build futures for young people. The satisfaction comes from knowing that your time and expertise directly contribute to creating positive change for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about youth welfare and the Derwentside community. While specific skills in areas like finance, fundraising, or marketing are always welcome, your enthusiasm and commitment are what matter most. We are particularly interested in people who are good listeners, strategic thinkers, and team players, and who are dedicated to helping young people see beyond challenges and celebrate their strengths.

How to Apply

If you are ready to take on this rewarding voluntary role, we want to hear from you. For more information, or to express your interest, please email Jackie at consettchurches@btconnect.com .
