Contact Us

The DDYP is a charitable organisation which supports hard to reach young people within Consett and Derwentside. The aim of our project is to improve the quality of life of marginalised and disenfranchised young people while raising aspirations, building self-esteem and confidence as well as offering new opportunities for the future.

Our office is open 5 days a week where young people are welcome to call in for support, help with job searches, CV writing, crisis support or just a chat with a friendly face.

Minibus

Minibus

The minibus is also a huge asset to our Project to take young people away for weekends and other activities. Sometimes we also use it for our detached work in areas where we want to get noticed. It’s a great advertisement which makes young people and residents aware of our presence.

We rely on our volunteers to drive the bus and we are always looking for new volunteers who want to help their community, and who just enjoy the social opportunities it gives them

If you’re interested in volunteering as a driver, please call the office at: (01207) 501 863 or email us at [email protected]

Our office is only open part-time. Whilst  young people are welcome to call in for support, help with job searches, CV writing, crisis support or just a chat with a friendly face, it’s best to check first before calling in, so as not to be disappointed.
